They are universal super low down seat brackets on amz for around 25 bones. They just happen to fit there with the single screw holes, but I added jb weld to really lock them down (that stuff rocks). Still too damn hot to work on it (index 110 today in dfw), so I will get back to it in a few weeks. Have a turnbuckle set up holding it in place through holes for now and just use a 12v plug wire into driver side 3rd row for power. Plan on building custom frame on bottom of console using dimensions on floor brackets then wiring in...

You made any more progress on this? I’m really considering this option...

As a matter of fact, just wrapping it up this week. I used some granite counter L brackets for front 2 brackets as it needed to sit up more (plus be strong), and regular seat bracket bolts for back (came with amz kit). The final solution came from some tab bolts from a side step mounting kit (for aries side steps) that worked perfectly to attach the seats to brackets.

Of note, you do have to trim back panel of it to fit flush as the plastic hangs too low. You end up with seating for 8 with seat belt and great storage - all for around $400. Better than bench or captains. Some extra pics (ignore dirt as its been raining)...eddff148f95f2f5352b7dea56dd96631.jpg0bb3593cfbf60458ca67fc00f189aad6.jpgbfb17ee24c67349cdc805b2e7baf7a67.jpg64df72cbea93c9727ab3583399fae3c8.jpgde298cd9d7d2ef6b67b7e12e0f04ea4e.jpgb14a4f43ab2dbcd7601b5aa5bda045f2.jpg

The red wire was rerouted down under carpet, but in that pic you can see the tab bolts through the holes in side of seat. That is how I screwed seat to bracket on floor...

Are those custom brackets? Or did you find a part number for something that’s compatible? Also, is there a seatbelt for that jump seat?

I recognize that you appear to be more interested in increased storage capacity with your question. I have a 2007 Yukon XL Denali, so additional storage space was not a priority for me. But, since you asked for examples of utilizing that open space between the captains chairs, I thought that I'd share this with you.

However, what was a priority for me was an improved audio system, so as part of my audio system upgrade, I chose to populate that space between the captains chairs with a combination sub-woofer enclosure and a table top for the occupants of the captains chairs.

The enclosure is free-standing with a quick-disconnect speaker wire, so it can be either relocated to the back of the truck, or removed entirely from the truck when circumstances dictate the need to do so.

It also serves as a footstool for my dog, who likes to stand on the enclosure with his front legs and look over my shoulder as we drive around (as evidenced by all of the white dog hair in the photo).

I would anticipate that you could potentially build a similar enclosure designed to hold 'stuff' versus a sub-woofer, and perhaps, build it taller to take advantage of available cube space between the captains chairs.

I love the setup and looking to do something similar in my 2010 tahoe with captains in the back. What size subwoofer did you fit in there and do you happen to have the measurements for the box?

@nweiner Here is the information that you had asked for:

Speaker Enclosure outside dimensions: 14" wide, 18" long, 6 1/2" tall, sealed enclosure
Note that the box enclosure is 3" above the floor, and the two end pieces of the enclosure were cut 3" taller to make make this space under the enclosure
The enclosure material is 3/4" high density particle board

Speaker: 10" Audiomobile brand, Model GTS 2110, 2 Ohm, 300 Watts RMS, 500 Watts Peak
Note that this speaker is American made and has a full basket frame (not a pancake design), and it is specifically made for small volume (~1/2 - 1 cu. ft.) sealed enclosures
The bass sound quality is equivalent to a JL Audio W3 sub at 30% less cost

Amp: Rockford Fosgate, 500 Watts RMS at 2 Ohms
Note that this amp is installed within the left rear side panel, just in front of the tire jack area

Sub-Woofer - Bottom View - Small File.jpg

Let me know if you need additional information.
