Whats up yall. So I joined the forums thinking maybe I could get some input on the system I am building.

I have a Kappa Four 125x4 rms purchased already for the front and rear doors. Along with a custom sealed box with oldschool JL 12w6 pushed by a Soundstream Reference Class A 6.0. I know this stuffs old but its in like new condition and I remember this combo banging back in high school.

Im thinking the Massive Audio CK 6 III for the front but a little scketched out by how hard they are going to be to install. Any suggestions would be helpful since fronts are my next purchase.

Thanks doods

:welcome:

How about this:

The msrp is about $330 but amazon has them for $180.

I use the db6501's. Should only have to re-drill speaker screws and stash the crossover to the inside of door panel. Managed to put the tweeter in its surface mount adapter and slide it in place where to oem went behind that little screen at the front of door handle assembly.

Im actually planning on using Polk Audio MM coaxils for the rear door. Wanted something a little more fancy for the front. But I work a ton these days and might just throw the components in the front as well. How do the Polks sound?

I have the db6501's and have no complaints. Loud and clean even when really pushed. I use them in font and back doors. I use nothing but Polk audio for about twenty years now for home or car. I actually would like to find a polk SRT surround system but it has not been made in a long time and blew a chance last year to get them. It cost origanlly about 18 grand and the person wanted only 2k. cherry based with no damage. Got to wait for the money first. When I first heard the products during shopping a long time ago I thought everything else was junk.

Ya I actually have polks for my home stereo and they sound good. Plus if they are that easy to put in I might just take your advice. I would much rather spend that time getting a massage from my girl after my "tough install"

Lol i know this is off the wall, but you said fancy and if money is not the issue then FOCAL is the way to go. Unbelievable sound and almost zero percent distortion. Check them out if thats an idea for you

while Focal is very good, they are not distortion free...that's the amp issue...speakers just reproduce what is fed to them. You can make a $100 set of components sound good with clean power...or make any top end set sound terrible with a bad amp.

True I will not dispute that. I just believe by hearing them in person in a buddy of mine's who is oblivious to any means of car audio that if he can't make distortion..no one can lol
