Looking into leveling

Okay so I just bought a 03 Yukon slt 4x4 in fair condition with 137k miles on it. Im familiar with lift keys and coil spacers...but thats about it. Ive read about people doing spindle lifts and ect but I dont even know what that is....So this is what my plan is...2-3" Level keys in front, maybe a 2" spacer in back(if that will cause to much pressure on front end suspension parts then a 1" spacer) and put some 33" tires on her.....

Questions
1. At 135k miles should I be worried about the ball joints/uca's ect when leveling with the 2" spacer in the rear, or should i go to a 1" or 1.5" spacer instead.

2. What is benifit of a spindle lift?

3. Im plan on using this vehicle for 600 mile trips in the oil field....what suspension/ steering parts should I go ahead and replace/or check...

I would replace hub bearings, ball joints, and all steering joints if you don't know the service history. Especially with the mileage you're planning. I usually also replace all of the hoses, belts, and tensioners when I buy a used truck. Change all of the fluids also for added insurance.

Spindle lifts are for 2wd trucks. Your only option is a set of keys and spacers, or a true lift kit. I would use a 1" block in the back, you can't level the front to 2" spacers safely.

keys and 1-1.5" spacer with new shocks will be fine. Watch your front cv angles when you crank it up. I replaced mine but new they were bad as I heard them clicking when turning. Look at idler and pitman arm for replacement. All other stuff should be ok unless beat on.

Thanks guys, im picking up some sweet rims and tires sunday.....BUT there to big for the setup...325 50 22's....so whats the easiest/cheapest way to make them fit

ok replacing the uca should I use the RK80942 or RK80826 do I need the offset busings, or just stick with stock?

If you're doing keys in the front, it will align with stock uca's.

To fit those wheels and tires with total clearance you'll need a 6" lift. You may be able to get away with them with keys and a ton of trimming, depending on the backspacing.

Just a warning, cranked keys + low profile tires won't make for a very enjoyable ride.

This is what I ended up getting, Next replacing ball joints, 1 of the uppers boot is busted, going with Raybestos pro grade uca's and Raybestos pro lower ball joints, and 2-3" keys
