Hi, so my yukons carpet is massively stained and i was thinking of changing it, now ive looked into getting a new one and they said about 500 for a new one but i was thinking that since i live in canada and we have six if not more months of snow, carpet prob isnt the best idea so i was thinking of painting the inside of the trucm with that bedline paint everyone does their truck bed with. Havent removed the carpet and seats yet and might get into that tomorrow i just wanted to ask anyone who might have any ideas tips or opinions about this prooject. Thank you!

I have sprayed in high pressure Bedliner into a few off-road toys in the past.
It's always dirty as hell if it's textured and holds water like a ***** if there are no removable drains and channels to allow water to drain out.

So, no black, no texture, and add removable drains with channels.

I wouldnt

The floor may not look as you expect. Lots of wiring and different holes and such. The cargo area may be ok to do but your looking at a noisy ride

The noise level, depends on the thickness of the liner.

I used a high pressure spray gun that coul lay that sheet down a inch thick of I wanted.
The vehicles I sprayed was on average 1/4" thick, there was no noise transmitted via vibrations from the coated panels.

I think it's a good idea, it won't be as clean as you are thinking and the random breaks in the floor are going to cause issues with trapping dirt and moisture. I wouldn't go textured either, at most a hammered looked, but not heavy texture like a bed liner.

who would want to bedline anyting on a OBS? (insert sarcasm font)

if you spray it use a higher air pressure. the higher pressure makes it more of a mist and the texture is not as bad

Have you considered pulling the carpet out and degreasing/pressure washing it?

there was talk of doing the bottom foot of the doors for impact protection. I even think someone bed-lined the whole vehicle on a while back.
