Hey all,

I had a couple scratches on the surface of my "wood" center console cup holder lids. I was hoping to find something that would remove/cover them without making them worse in the process. Upon the recommendation of my father, I picked up and tried some Meguire's "PlastX." This is a fine abrasive polish intended for fogged plastic headlight lenses (and soft top plastic windows and whatnot). I used a tiny bit on a polish applicator pad and swirled it on really gently. I followed it up with Lemon Pledge.

Looks pretty darn good. Got some major scuffs out. You might want to check it out. Just go lightly, and with a tiny bit...

Just an FYI for those who have been looking for a solution to scratched pieces.

Thanks. We need a "thank" button like I've seen on some other Vbulletin forums haha.

So where did you buy this from?

Haha Got it at AutoZone. Probably have the stuff at just about any automotive store.

Just go real easy with the stuff and see how it works for you.

I was too lazy to go to the stroe and lok for it so i used the meguiars step 1 (in a three step polish/wax system) deep crystal cleaner. It's a liquid scratch remover took the scratches out of my wood grain. I've never used the PlastX but heard/hear good things, thanks, will have to pick some up. Wonder if it works on radio dispalys? Got a scratch on my TBSS' display.
