Hey all,
I had a couple scratches on the surface of my "wood" center console cup holder lids. I was hoping to find something that would remove/cover them without making them worse in the process. Upon the recommendation of my father, I picked up and tried some Meguire's "PlastX." This is a fine abrasive polish intended for fogged plastic headlight lenses (and soft top plastic windows and whatnot). I used a tiny bit on a polish applicator pad and swirled it on really gently. I followed it up with Lemon Pledge.
Looks pretty darn good. Got some major scuffs out. You might want to check it out. Just go lightly, and with a tiny bit...
Just an FYI for those who have been looking for a solution to scratched pieces.
