Ya. Going with another yank between 2800 and 3000 stall. Going to get the tranny beefed up like the camaro. Just had to have that rebuilt. My last time at the track best time was 12.0@115. Getting a new intake for it soon, as the LS1 intake is chocking the car.

Plans are cam, full exhaust, 243 heads with a mild PnP, PnP Throttle Body and a tune. Stall is my biggest concern. Told you don't wanna go to big cause the will be a lot of heat. Let me know if you can think of anything else.

After reading about your plans, I had to reply. I was building up an LQ9 to put in my weekend toy ('02 S10) but sold the truck and bought an '08 Tahoe. I'd love to swap the LQ9 into the Tahoe, but I'm not gonna tear it apart to change the reluctor wheel and I don't trust the Lingenfelter converter box. The LQ9 is from an '03 Escalade and has 31K miles on it. I planned to swap a stock V8 in the S10 so I sought out a low-mileage/unmolested unit. I specifically wanted one from an Escalade because one from a Silverado SS would most likely have been beat on. It didn't stay stock, but I didn't tear too deeply into it. It got a cam that should give it 400 TQ and higher from 2,000-6,500 RPM, and a peak of about 450 HP, conservatively. I upgraded the valvetrain to complement the cam: Comp-spec'ed springs/seats/locks/retainers and Comp trunnion upgrade. The timing set is an OEM LS2 HD. I have a set of Z06 243s (weighed the valves to verify) that have been very mildly ported, thoroughly cleaned and Flowbenched to show before and after flow numbers. Chambers have been measured (66.4cc) and spring heights measured/set. This was all done by a reputable performance shop here in Louisiana. The only other modifications to the stock motor are Katech rod bolts. I wanted this thing to be as reliable as a stock motor, so I left it stock but just upgraded the few known relatively weak points. The rod bolts were installed following Katech's instructions to a "T" and I even had my nearly-new Matco torque wrench checked and certified by a testing/calibration lab before I changed the bolts (I'm obsessive about this stuff).

Anyway, my motor sounds like what you're looking for. I know I won't get back back what I have in it, so I'm negotiable within reason. PM me if you're interested.

Oh- I have a PTI lockup converter, BNIB. I bought only the best for my build!

***EDIT: It's an FTI converter...

I had a good deal on L76 I think it was. Had the LS3 heads. But, that reluctor wheel was the issue. Wanted a plug and Play. What are your ideas for the prices for your motor? I have a guy that does ll my engine work. And he is really good. And really wants to build the motor for this Tahoe and also the lift. So I completely hate to not give hime the pleasure, but also hate to pass up a deal that I can not refuse. lol
