Loss of back pressure after Airaid Jr

Well, I got home and got under the truck. The metal ring on the cap was halfway off and there was transmission fluid everywhere. I took the cap off and sure enough, the seal on the 4th apply piston was damaged. So I was referred to a local shop and I got a new seal kit plus another vette servo for $15. Got back home and put it back together and she drives perfect now. Hopefully I won't have anymore issues with it!!

I just wanna say I really appreciate everyone's feedback on this problem!!

i just had to do a rebuild becuase of my 3-4 apply pistion seal mine got to the point it basically destroyed my clutch material untill i had no 3 or 4th gear

It's driving just fine now but I'm putting my deposit down tomorrow for the scan cable tune. Would it be best to put my stock intake back on and wait for the tune?

yes becuase aftermarket intakes cause a lean mixture wich hurts performance initially
yer PCM adjusts the fuel trim but usually only enough to the point were you see almost little to no performance increase
after a proper tune you can easilty see 3-5 hp increase

make sure, and triple check that the large snap ring is seated all the way around the servo cover. Those have been known to slip off and damage the case of the transmission. Then you know the rest of the story...... glad you got it fixed and enjoy.

Good news man! Which shop did you go to to get the parts?

A place called Transtar, they're 121 in Haltom City. Good people over there. The vette servo was only 12 bucks so I figured I'd get it just in case anything else was damaged, but I ended up not needing it.

Yeah its hard to get that snap ring to fully seat. This is not uncommon. As long as your fluid didn't get dangerously low you should be fine.
