As I used TYF more, I've noticed how great of a resource tool it can be. So, with that being said, wanna see who can help me here.

I sold my 2004 Tahoe LT recently and I'm trying to go lifted now.

Found a guy down in SATX that has what I like, and I am going to check it out, just don't know what to look for. Here is what I'm looking at:

2000 Chevy Tahoe LT 2WD
6inch ProComp Lift
3inch Body
3inch Spindles
3inch Coil Spacer (Not installed)
37s Toyo M/T
20x12 Moto Metals (-44 Offset)
3inch Wheel Spacer

What are things I need to look for when I go check it out? Of course, I will be test driving it, and I know to look for hard shifts in the transmission. The owner always kept up to date with maintenance (oil changes, brake pad changes, and the usual up keep with any car). There is a check engine light on and an ABS light. The owner said that the check engine light is on because of the lift after it was installed. I've heard of this happening before, but want to verify with you all. Any thoughts on the ABS light? And if course, what should I be checking for when I open the hood, and also what should I look forunder the car as well? Thanks everyone!

One thing I would look for is rust, Tahoes rust easily and definitely look at brake lines. Since Tahoes use steel brake lines they rust and after a while they will blow. One of mine just blew 2 weeks ago and this was on a 2002, look at the lines to see what condition they are in then ask him if he's ever had them replaced
