Also you dont need a tune to enable the fans on all trucks. You just need access to TIS and a Tech 2 to upload the correct software calibrations into the PCM from an 05-06 model with the same fuel system/drive-train into an 03-04 model. If you already have a tune then yes you will need to adjust your custom tune to allow the fans to work and retain your custom tune. Having said that, if you have a stock 03-04 and you just want to add e-fan functionality, a newer calibration is all you need fron the 05-06 models. Hope that makes sense.

In your case with a 2000 non-Canbus comm system you would indeed need a tune to do this because a calibration flash from a CANBUS 05-06 will not work on your non-CANBUS truck.
