Hello,

I installed a pair of #FOX980-24-660 on the rear of my 2004 Chevy Tahoe. I also have the correct part # front shocks installed. The fronts are fine, but I am experiencing a loud rattling/banging noise over every small bump in the road coming from the rear since install of the 2.0 shox.

I made sure to check all 4 bolts on the shocks and made sure there was nothing in the way of the shock travel, etc. Is this noise expected from a new pair of these Fox 2.0s?

The ride quality is great, but the loud noise over every single bump is severely detracting from the drive quality. They currently have around 40 miles on them.

Thank you in advance for your time.

Have you tried standing on the bumper or hitch and tried jouncing the rear end with your weight to replicate the noise? If you can have a buddy do that while you lay underneath and look/listen.
