Hard to believe this is in America! We used to laugh at fuel prices our european neighbors were paying thirty years ago. Now it's us who have gone insane!

I'm always getting my E85 from RaceTrac cuz that's the only half-consistent source I know of. I know of a Chevron with the same offerings as this. I should grab some from there next time and see how their actual alcohol content compares to RaceTrac. The Chevron is right across the street from an E85-equipped Racetrac. I wouldn't be surprised if it were the same, from the same supplier.

Also- "ouch". I paid $2.87 last Sunday.

I don’t really pay attention to gas prices but I decided I’m going to start running E85 and so I figured I would take a picture to compare and I’m a little surprised at how high the price is of gasoline. This is one of the more expensive gas station but still.

This solidifies my decision to run E85, I think at this price difference I’ll save a noticeable amount of money. I’ll be able to afford more carne asada burritos with the money I save.

In my area, most of the stations that sell ethanol have a sticker on the pumps that says it is not a product of their brand.

There are some "boutique" Sunocos that sell various grades of Ethanol and only 87 octane gas. For their E15, E30 offerings for example, they use blender pumps to mix E85 and 87 but when I filled up after hours, I just got straight gas or E85! They turned off the blender pumps at night.

The Sunoco near the house is not one of these boutiques, but their E85 is not as consistent in percentage as the Racetrac directly across the street.

Shell has been around 70% ethanol in my area, also not their product I believe..

I don't know of any E85 sources in my areas other than RaceTrac and that Chevron. RaceTrac doesn't have the "Not a RaceTrac product" sticker. I recall seeing it at that Chevron, though. So, yeah, it's probably from the same source as RaceTrac. I know of one Sunoco that's out towards one of the RaceTracs. I don't believe they have E85, though.

My RaceTrac E85 consistently tests around 65%. I avoid Shell. I only put it in my work van (company vehicle and company gas card) when there's nothing else around and/or I'm on fumes.
