So today I get up and drive to tie-dye some shirts with the family (on vacation) abd when I come out to leave to drive back to town to go to school the truck is dead. Jumped it off with my Nana's subaru and it fires right up. Find the local Advance and drive it over to get a new battery. On the way over there I notice the idle drops at a stop to the point the AC gets warmer, I just assume it has to do with the battery. So I get a new battery installed and the idle still fluctuates at a stop and drops to probably about 400 rpms.
So I drive it back to Knoxville and park it in my garage and hop in my wife 04 Yukon to drive to school and run errands. Go back home and put a meter on my truck and the new battery still has a charge and the truck fires right up. The idle still drops to below 500 RPMs which causes the battery voltage to do the same thing ( drops from 14v on the trucks volt meter to around the next lowest bar)
I decide to drive the truck back to where my family is which is about a 45 minute drive. Truck drives normally on the road but every time you come to a stop the idle drops and the volts do the same. Any ideas as to what could be causing this problem?

03 Denali XL stock aside from a K and N drop in with 232k miles.

Truck drive fine, but idles below 500 RPMs and has stalled once. Dead battery was replaced due to a no start and the problem has been with me since.
A quick rev of the throttle gets the idle to about 550-600 and will stay there until you drive it and come to another stop.

Cleaning out your throttle body will probably help your stalling problem, not sure why your trucks needs to get jumped though!

My guess on the jumping is the low idle and subsequent low voltage plus a weak battery and short drive (less than a half mile) caused a low voltage that prevented starting.

Have you done the throttle relearn after the new battery? wouldn't hurt to try it.

Here's how you do it,
Get in the truck, shut the door, buckle the seat belt.
Put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position (do not turn over)
press the pedal down to the floor as quick as possible and hold it there,
turn the key to the off position.
wait a few seconds then release the pedal.
