Cruising down the highway yesterday 60mph on cruise control. I hit a expansion joint and it jolted me and the truck.

immediately I lost radio and doors unlocked and AC quit.

Radio came back on quickly and I locked the doors. Thats when I realized I was blowing hot air (no AC)

I took my exit and as I slowed I felt like I lost Power Steering.

I parked the truck and turned her off. Started her up and she started fine but idle seemed lower than normal. So I went in the store and came back out. When going slow if I turn the wheel my idle drops too low and kicks off my AC.

Got her home. Checked the Freon level- Its Good.
Checked the idle with HPTuners and it is 550 which is what the tune called for.
Disconnected battery and let the truck sit for an hour.
The air-filter is dirty so Im going to replace that.

Still having a problem when turning at low RPM's it dips to low to keep the AC on.

No Lights or leaks... Checked O2 sensors through HP Tuners and they are performing normal.

No Mods except for Flowmaster Exhaust and a tune.

2003 Escalade 6.0

What the heck happened.

Ant ideas are helpful.

All belts are on and seem OK...
I drove around today after posting and AC worked fine. Idle stayed up except for a few times at a turn in a parking lot or two the idle dropped very low while turning.

Could this be Power Steering related or maybe a ground somewhere?

sounds more PS related to me...not to sound dumb.. Take the serpentine belt off and make sure the PS pump pully / shaft is not broken.. I have seen it happen - however I'd think you would not have ANY PS if this was the case..

although I forgot about your electrical issue... thats weird, is that acting up at all since?

only once after the bump... Cruising home I was on a smooth piece of road and my doors unlocked and AC compressor kicked off.

I re locked and turned the AC off and back on. and it hasn't happened since.

Ok- I keep getting the random Power reset while driving. I am almost 99% sure it is a loose ground somewhere. Do you have a diagram showing where the grounds are on a 2003 truck?

I don't have a diagram.. but I remember from doing my motor swap most of the grounds were on the back of the motor against the firewall up top.. I think mostly on the driver side. May be hard to reach with the intake on.. but if you feel back there for some broken wires you'd at least know. I'd guess if it broke the terminal end weakened and the wire snapped off that..

All my extended research pointed to the ignition switch. Just pulled that out and will go get a new one in the AM. I will post back results.
