I found an exact color to match mine, like same paint code and all. But it's just a rattle can, I'm not sure if that's good enough paint. That's why I was asking.

Ive used rattle can on previous vehicles plastics and it worked fine. Like they said proper prep paint and clear and I think it will hold up fine. By the way, my name is Chase too! :D

It all comes down to your prep work. I used duplicolor paint match for the color. It was dead on. And I used duplicolor adhesion promoter and primer. But I spent a little more and got SprayMaxx 2k clear. It has a hardnervous inside the can and it's very strong. I haven't had any chips and it shines like the rest of the car. IMO to the untrained eye you wouldn't know it's a rattle can job

I always rattle can small pieces like trim. Just never entire panels. Use a painter for that.

I used SEM products. Google it. Great paint, primer's and top coats.

Not to thread jump - but has anyone changed out the lower valance/spoile with a Z71 of hte sam eyear ( round fogs vice the rectangle)? Thanks

Rule #1 - every part on these trucks of this body style (00-06) are interchangeable and 100% bolt-on. So yes it can be changed easily.
