Lowered my wife’s Tahoe finally

Took me four years to finally lower my wife’s Tahoe but I’ve been busy workin on other vehicle projects during that time and the Tahoe was down for a year with a DOD failure. Had to pull the motor out and have my buddy totally rebuild it top to bottom and also had him send out the transmission and have it rebuilt as well. With just over 200k on it figured it was time. I’ll throw pics of the other vehicle projects I was building in with them. Also a then and now pic of the Tahoe. I went with the Belltech 3-4 drop kit and removed the rear bump stop bracket. I also rebuilt the whole front suspension with all Moog components upper and lower control arms inner and outer tie rods new drilled and slotted rotors with new pads from Detroit Axel. Figured I would give them a try for the price see how they hold up to my wife’s hard braking habit. Lol. Also just had some 285/45/22 Nitto 420V’s put on as well. It’s like a new vehicle but better. Lol. Enough blabbing here are some pics.

Here are the other two projects the white OBS is my daily. I did a 5/7 drop on it with some 20” American racing wheels wrapped in Nitto 555’s the ‘90 GMC dually is my wife’s. I did a 5/8 drop on it with some black 22” Alcoas and a 4l80 trans swap so she has over drive and swapped out the 4:11 gears to some 3.42 gears but with the size tires it has it bumps it up to almost a 3:73 gear. Rebuilt all the front suspension and steering on it as well. Just have to get all the gauges workin on it and chase down some wiring grimmlins.

My next project ‘57 chevy 3100. It has a 283 v8 that runs with a 700r4. Will be lowering it with a mustang ll front suspension and leafs out back. It will get a 6.0 ls and a 4l80e for a power plant.

Lots of great work. Congratulations.

I lowered my wife's car without her knowing it, and when she first went to get into it, she damn near fell onto the driveway. Needless to say, she was not happy with me. Since then, she's leased cars, knowing that it is much more difficult for me to make major mods to them.
