I wanted a slight drop in the front without going the spindle route again. I ended up getting a set of MaxTrac 1" lowering springs 251510-8 and cut down my auto ride links .400" in the front and that was the solution. There are detents in the factory auto rid link and I simply cut off the upper detent and used the lower detent and that worked fine. Getting the springs in was a different story, the front struts have an magneride connection that has to be removed in order to get the nut off the strut to replace the spring. That required a visit to two different local GM dealers to get that accomplished, but the job is done!

I have NorcalSS's rear lowering kit in the rear and the MaxTrac springs in the front. The finder lip is ~34" front and ~35" rear now.

I also got some new LED fog light bulbs and color matched the Bowties with some Avery brand (SW900-109-S GLOSS WHITE PEARL) vinyl wrap off of Amazon that matches extremely well!

Check her out!

Looks really good. Really like the stance of the slight drop, subtle, barely noticeable, and gets rid of the factory rake.

Was there a particular reason you didn't want to go the spindle route in the front? How's it ride?

Thanks Guys,
I had spindles on my older suburban and also my Silverado and the install was doable but a little more invasive. I had to cut the ball joint stems to allow for a 17" spare rim install and it kid of turned me off from them. I prefer installs that are backwards compatible where I don't loose capability in the future if someone wanted to put it back to stock. The ride is great, absolutely nothing noticeable off of stock. I don't have the spring rate info to give you but I have had this car for 6 months and I cant tell a difference in ride since the install.
