Quick question regarding the 3 trims available for the Tahoe or Yukon. Without having to add or replace components with aftermarket parts, which trim level or specs available for each trim make the vehicle most capable in offroad? For example, I noticed the premier trim comes with 20" wheels, but would it not be better to have the 18" wheels that come standard on the LS and LT trim levels? Also, how about the gear ratio, 3.08 or 3.42?

Less trim=less money=less repair from off-road excitement. 3.42 would be better than 3.08

The Z71 package should give you the 3.42 and the 18" wheels.

I asked the dealer if they could explain what they meant when they said it was discontinued, their response:

"Certainly. GMC got rid of the Z71 package. As for the Chevy brand, they still continued with the Z7 off road package. It comes with the skid plates, rancho shocks and the high capacity air cleaners. I hope that helped."
