Well, I have been having issues with my drivers heated seats. they do not seem to want to work when it is cold out. I was just told that my 09 LTZ uses a blower and not a heating pad, due to it also being a cooled seat.

My cooled seat works without issue, but the heat does not. Does anyone know if they use a blower (or the same blower) for both heated and cooled in the 09 ltz?

It seems a little odd to me, but i am not about to take it apart to check.

It's under warranty, but just barely. I am probably going to get the GMPP for it (a coworker recommend a dealer out of MT who is very cost effective, and by far the lowest of the 4 quotes I have received).

This is more of a question, to verify the car's setup. It just sounds like an odd design to me.

Seems to me I can hear a fan or something running when my seat heaters are on...

If its under warranty I would take it asap. Are all of your seats this way? I wouldn't want it to run out and end up paying for very expensive repairs or even a new seat for that matter.

The dealer ha already ordered the parts, so now I am just waiting for them to come in, and repaired as a warranty repair. When I get the GMPP, this would still be covered by the plan.

When I turn on the heated seats I can hear a relay click, but I have never listened for a fan. I will have to listen on the passenger seat to see if i can hear anything.

I believe that my front seats are setup the same way since they are both heated and cooled. I am not sure if the rear seats would use a blower or a heating pad. since they are not cooled
