I've lurked here for quite some time and just now decided to register...

Having had a few GMT800 pickups, I'm definitely not new to these things. Even had a GMT900 a couple of years ago when my wife had a 2007 Escalade.

My current ride is a 3/4 ton 2001 Yukon XL SLT with a tad over 200K miles. Exterior is almost perfect and save for the outside edge of the driver's seat even the interior is in great condition. The LQ4/4L80E are still chugging along without leaks, noises, slipping gears and what not.

Great stuff and lots of good info here. Who knows... Maybe even I could provide some info, tips, tricks etc. in the future. :D

My, my, how things change fast... :hmm:

Sold my 01 3/4 ton XL a little over a week ago and a couple days later bought 03 1/2 ton XL. But that's not all, folks...

Today traded my wife's 08 C350 MB for 07 Tahoe LTZ. Yeah, went a year older and has a couple of things (P0121 code and a scratch on the rear bumper) to take care of, but so did the MB and I'd rather deal with fixing a Tahoe than MB, so oh well... She wanted it, so she got it and she is happy.

Bought it from the first owner and got a bunch of maintenance receipts, original window sticker, original purchase documents etc. etc. Just need to get rid of the 26" wheels. Too big to my liking and IMO ruins the ride. 22" is the max for me, maybe 24", but that's it.
