Ly6 6.0l swap

So i have a 2008 Tahoe with a LMG. Long story short I hydrolocked it and broke a rod. I want to swap in a LY6. I have researched and looks like everything is pretty much directly bolt in. I'm not 100% sure so I thought I'd ask if anyone has done this. Just a few things I has questions about are.

-vvt...i heard that I may have to swap the gear from my lmg to ly6. Is that is all that is involved or anything else I need to know of?

Will the doner intake and fuel all connect the same?

I am also looking for a new engine for my 2007 Yukon SLT. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I am in the Chicagoland area.
