Magnaflow catback - why won't it fit Z71 ?

They say it will fit all 2006 Tahoes except Z71, just wondering if anyone knows why..... they all seem to exit in the same place......

If thier techs never got the chance to actually check for differences between the 2 variants they might have decided to just not list it that way. If there is some minor suspension difference or something between the 2 that will interfere on the z71 and they don't know it gives people reason to demand thier money back. Also double check on other reputable sites such as summitracing.com for other fitment options. Summitracing says the 15666 magnaflow kit fits the z71.

I don't see why it wouldn't fit... They are all the same platform. The only difference on the z71 and the normal Tahoe's are appearance and suspension, which is just springs.

The Z71 has a lower body cladding that interferes with some exhaust systems.

^^^ that shouldn't be an issue unles the tail pipe is extremely close to the quarter panel
