manifold gasket question - general

my two trucks do not show signs of manifold gasket failure , but i have a question about prevention. is it preventable with regular dexcool coolant changes (annual)? or doe this eventuall happen to all of them. my 2 door has 176k runs strong , my 4 door has 73k runs strong with no goo under the oil caps.

and dexcool should not need replacing every year but in general every 5 years or when crud starts to show.
