I have a 2007 yukon with 35000 miles on it very well kept and noticed a crack in the dashboard passenger side top left corner of passenger airbag storage box. While doing research I stumbled across some interesting facts that I'm sure GMC knows about and are not doing anything about it. I don't understand why they're not doing anything about it since they always talk about how they want to take care of customers and that we are the ones keeping them in bussiness. So all of you who own Yukon's you might want to take a look at this go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ikSCklf7g8

manufacturer's know about the issue and are not doing anything with except selling their vehicle's at a very steep price which I have always owned and drove GM vehicles and trusted them to the T but now I'm starting to WONDER.

GM is GM Yukon, Tahoe's, Suburban etc....... Just took mine to the dealer I purchased it from he looked at me and laughed and stated 3 years 36 thousand miles well I have 5 1/2 years and less than 36000 miles. He stated he couldn't do nothing for me. While i was there I went and checked out a used one in their lot and the dashboard was also cracked I told the assistant manager about it and He stated you see If I can't even take care of my vehicles how can I (He) take care of mine. So be carefull on leasing GM vehicles also I've read a thread where a Individual leased one and when he brought it back was charged $800.00 for the cracked dashboard.

Dennis we get it, you're unhappy with GM, the dealer, your truck, and probably a whole bunch of other stuff ... but what is repeating threads, duplicate post, and repeated butthurt going to remedy your vexations?

It's truck not a Swiss watch, and they are car companies not kindness factories, they ALL have these issues to varying degrees.

Read the threads here addressing your issues, see if you can find solutions, contact GM customer service, and don't buy another GM vehicle if you so choose. As far as dealers, their service quality varies ... I interacted with several before I chose the one I felt deserved my business.

In any case, we get it that you are unhappy ... but there's nothing this little repetitive crusade and yt video plug is going to achieve here other than annoy folks and make them less likely to support you.

Take the above as you wish, I'm just being honest with you.

Thanks Serge for that information it was very usefull I just didn't look hard enough for other threads. Well if anyone else just perhaps to overlook it as well there are many others out there with similar problems and that they are classifying it as stress cracks and no matter which way you try to take care of your vehicle it will soon happen. But it seem to only be happening to vehicles within the year of 2007 & 2008 haven't read anything on later models maybe they are doing something different. Oh by the way your truck looks nice.
