Map/dome lights on together

Does anyone know how to wire the map and dome lights together so they all come on when the doors open but still function properly with the switches

you would need to install some specialized wiring of either dpst switches or rewire the the dome lights to branch off the bulb to the positive side of map lights. don't overload anything tho.

I'm going to use 5smd LEDs so overloading shouldn't be a problem. If you just jumped the positive from the dome light to the map lights wouldn't it back feed to the dome light if you turned the map lights on separately

yes. that is why diodes are needed hence specialized wiring.

By chance would you know anything about choosing diodes for this type of application

Would you run a wire from the power on the dome light to the map lights in the whole truck and put individual diodes at each light
