I've been searching for an answer online, and emailed BBP, but am hoping someone here can possibly share some info.
Since there are physical differences between the newer style 2014 5.3 MAP sensor: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=12648337&cc=3305736&pt=11207&jsn=470
and the older 2008 6.0 MAP sensor: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=14070729&cc=1441196&pt=11207&jsn=561 , I'm trying to find out if they have a different measurement parameter "window"? They both are three-wire (5V, Ground, Return Voltage), but do they send the same return voltage to the ECU?
Since I used the 2014 engine wiring loom I retrofitted the newer MAP sensor to the 2008 intake manifold, and it does start/run, but since I have a 2008 6.0 basetune, would it also require the 2008 MAP sensor? (the 6.0 donor also didn't come with a 6.0 MAP sensor, and I didn't realize that until too late.) The three-wire harness connectors are (annoyingly) different, so I ordered a short male/female adapter to swap in the 6.0 sensor this weekend.
Any thoughts?
