McGaughy 2" Spindle defective??? Photo's attached

So I pull my McGaughy 2" front spindles out of the box this AM to install them and this is what he ID of the hub area looks like. I need to have a replacement one sent to me right? Anyone else experience something like this?

That is casting porosity. I would send them in for replacement.

I previously worked extensively in CNC machining of cast iron brake calipers. If we got a batch of castings with visible porosity we'd reject the entire lot. Porostiy you can see is a good indicator of more that can't be seen and is a definite weak spot.

I'd guess that the spindles are overbuilt for the application and are probably OK, but then again....

casting is fine only one spot with porosity other spots are low spots and not anywhere near the fitment area of the hub, ive installed many of them like that, if the spot were larger or there was more than one spot like that they would have rejected it. also its in the middle of the hub area, if that spot was on the ball joint boss it would have been rejected.
