I just installed a McGaughy's 2/3 drop on my Yukon XL. The rear shock extensions cause the shocks to rub on the parking brake cable. I tried routing the cable behind the shock and it seem to bind too much. I remove the retaining bracket off the rear end and it seem to help free up some slack. Any other idea's? I guess I could just buy shorter shocks!

I also installed Pedders rear bump stop's instead of cutting the stock ones. They were only $23 and my Yukon rides like stock. The wife is very happy!

Just thought I would post a couple pictures. It was getting dark out so they are not that great.

Looks good man, the shock touching the cable reeally does have much of an effect as long as it is not well on it and causing wear issues.
My shocks have been touching the cable for a long time and they have no issues or wear problems whatsoever.

DANG, that looks NICE!

Mine did it as well with my factory shocks and shock relocators. If you stopped at a light, seemed when I released the brake it held for just a split second, like the line had constant pressure on the brakes. Then, took the big factory shocks off, replaced them with better, and smaller diameter Bilsteins, it rode better, and freed up the line. May be a good $100 investment to replace rear shocks.

Looks good bro... I just routed that cable in front of the shock. Seems to be doing just fine there. Its been a couple of months since I did my drop and no problems so far.
