Not sure if anyone else is playing with some crazy anti-theft options, or has done some. A good alarm system has it's limits. So I been thinking about some hidden switches again. Was thinking about running the fuel pump on an hidden switch, but than I remembered, I have remote start. :Nonono: So then, I will do what I did once, interrupt the brake signal. This will cause the car not going into gear w/o flipping the switch (maybe by force, not sure). That's a start. Crazy idea, how about drilling a hole in the brake rotor and use a hitch receiver lock.?
Any good suggestions, please share. Nobody will know where your switch is unless you post it on here.
Just trying to make it harder for bricks and gain some valuable time if something would happen. I'm crazy.?

Lock the doors and keep it insured. Works for me. If they want it bad enough they will take it no matter what.

^x2 even the top of the line alarms are only meant to slow the burglar down. anyone who's installed alarms before knows how to bypass them. however, back in the day when i was doing installs, we used to install hidden switches on the fuel pump, worked like a champ. no gas no go.

Get a Club. If it's obvious from a distance and first glance that your truck will be harder to steal they move on to the next. Get a sticker that says "equipped with alarm" "lo-jack" etc etc. Activate your on-star so it can be tracked.
DO NOT drill a big hole in a brake rotor. You don't want to see what happens if you weaken one and it comes apart at speed.
Do the hidden switch thing. If you know someone that's good with wiring you can even put a fingerprint scanner in it. Keep the doors locked. Park in a good area. Garage it. Don't leave valuables in it.

Like SRTH8R said. If they want it bad enough, they're going to get it.
