My wife and I both drive our '03 Yukon XL so the memory seat function is a must. However, about a year ago we noticed that when you select your memory number, the seat wouldn't move forward completely to the saved setting. You could adjust it using the seat forward button and save it and it would work correctly for a while and then it would "loose" it again. Every other part of the memory would set correctly except the forward position. So now when you hit the button, you have to wait for everything to set and then move it forward with the seat button. If you try to move it while it is setting other postions (seat back, lumbar, seat tilt, etc.) it will stop those functions so then you have to do it again.

I had the exact same problem a few weeks ago with my '03 Tahoe. I just got a new battery and the problem mysteriously went away... Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

If this is true the problem is an easy fix, just disconnect the battery and then re connect it to allow for all systems to be "reset" that will prolly reset the module that controls the memory and fix your issue :)

Let us know if it works

I have actually just put a new battery in about 2 weeks ago and there is no difference. I have reset it since then and still it screws up within a few days. Its almost like it looses count. Not sure if it has a home postition, but if it does it seems to loose it.

I've noticed when my battery gets run down... the Memory seats and mirrors lose their setting long before anything else.

I've also noticed that if I want to set it, the vehicle needs to be in PARK, though you can set it in D, it doesn;t really save the setting.

You may have a bad motor on the seat, or a poor ground. These servo motors have a feedback circuit that references power and ground to determine seating position, andwill then return to that position.
