I'm either losing my mind or there is another issue. Sometimes when I take my vehicle in for an oil change the service tech will adjust the seat, not a problem at all because I've programmed the memory option to remember my setting. When I press the button, nothing happens, but it is very obvious the seat has been adjusted.

There was no reason to reset the battery and my radio settings were not reset, but I do believe OnStar is saving those presets because I changed my battery and my presets were still there.

The only time I need to move my seat back is after I get it back from the dealer, I highly doubt the oil % reset procedure resets the memory buttons.

If I move the seat, as a test, and push 1 or 2, the seat doesn't move so I know the setting wasn't overwritten, it was erased.

Not sure what else could be causing this.

This is slightly annoying because I feel that the seat is never back to where I originally had it and it bothers me for the next 2-3 days until I 'adjust' to the current setting, which I think is correct, and eventually I forget about it and proceed to save the new setting.

You have to press and hold the button the whole time the seat is moving. That and the way it saves is completely different then any other memory seat setup I've used before including other GMs and I'm always having problems with it.

I know I've saved my previous settings because it beeps. Also, I'd move the seat and push the button to make sure it goes back. No matter what I do, after the oil change the memory seat settings don't seem to be there anymore.

Bring that up to the oil change place and ask them what's being done to affect the seat memory. And maybe tell them NOT to move the seat.

EDIT maybe they're doing something inadvertent when they reset the oil life.

Problem is that I don't think about it until after the fact when the seat has been moved. Also, I don't mind if the seat is moved if the person driving needs better reach, I just don't know why the settings aren't being retained.

Not a huge issue, I just wanted to see if anyone else experienced something similar with memory seats.
