Hi-January 27, -10 here and my 13 Denali started in the am for work but wouldn't start at noon. I'd had a CEL (B2AAA) and I called the dealer and it had to be towed. January 28-dealer called to say they found a mice nest under the hood with many wires chewed and one cut through that controlled the gas flow so they fixed it but tow and fix was not under warranty as it wasn't the truck's fault.
So-living in the country, being gone for two week vacation, and not checking under the hood led to temporary misery, now fixed. Going to buy mice bait this week end to spread in the garage as my 3 barn cats refuse to live in the garage!!
An FYI- thanks-Bill

Happened to a buddy of mine back in 2004. Had just bought a 2500HD SLT Sierra Duramax. Less than 2 weeks after he bought it, mice got under the fuse box and chewed thru more than a dozen wires. Of course GM wouldnt cover the damage, just a terrible situation!

I had this problem but with squierls. In a small plastic container' get the cheap ones from the 99 cents store' and put some mothballs and add a little Critter Ritter 'Home Depot carries it' inside the container. Make some slits in the top and put the container near the bottom of the engine compartment. I have 2 containers, one near the bottom by the steering rod and the other near the battery area. I hope this helps.

Last summer I found a bunch of mice turds INSIDE my truck, on the floor near the third row seats. No idea how the little bastards got inside, but I had two of them dead in traps by the end of the next day. Luckily they didn't mess anything up other than crapping on my carpet.
