Soo...a little reassurance for those of you with Window Stickers (which means the vehicle has been invoiced), I just called a dealership in California (I'm in Illinois) because I tracked the VIN of one of their vehicles that showed it was in Midlothian since 03/18 but the GMC Inventory website had actual photos of the Yukon (in this instance). The salesman was super nice and he said it's definitely there, he's already driven it. So, the Jack Cooper site was never updated...there is hope. Just because it shows Midlothian doesn't mean it's actually there. He said so many of the logistics sites are wrong right now.

Good investigating and thanks for sharing! We have hope!!!

Mine is still Midlothian and it’s going to Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine. Literally like 15 minutes away.

So, we found out our XL Denali is in Midlothian and is showing on the GMC website as in transit. I tried to chat with gmc and was told to just check with my dealer for updates. Is there what way to find out if we’re close to delivery or waiting on parts in the yard?

Not that I’ve heard. Did you track your VIN using the Jack Cooper site?

Heard from my dealer last night. He said he contacted GM direct and they said there were a number of trucks that were produced in the last few weeks but are "built-shy" meaning they still needed some chips. I guess they didn't have enough so some went to Midlothian to be held until chips became available. He said it sounds like they should start shipping them again next week so I assume that means some of these chip hold trucks got their chips.

Ugh this is so frustrating. You’d think the “event code” would align with where the vehicle actually is, it would be really nice. I still don’t have a vehicle window sticker, which means no invoice yet…which means it cannot be a status 4300

I’ve come to fine out that GM chat isn’t very trustworthy at all. For that matter the dealer may not be either. I try not bother the dealer as much but I don’t care harassing the people on the chat. I’ve caught the GM chat actually telling me that my event code actually “backed” up an event or two which didn’t make any sense. That made me lose most faith in them. I also do believe there are MULTIPLE FACTORS that go into all aspects of the ordering and shipping processes that are behind the scenes to most of us. I believe that most of the delays the you all (probably myself included since my unit is supposed to be built next week) is attributed to 2 things. First being the endless parts shortages but still trying to keep the assembly line running. And secondly to the shortage of transportation and logistics workers both rail and road.
