Might be going back to a Tahoe.....

So i may be going back to a Tahoe which would mean trading in the jeep of course. I'm thinking about a 2010-2011 Z71 are those years still prone to some of the problems of the 08 and older? If i do get one it well be less than 60k , hopefully around 30-40k, miles and I'll be getting a ext warranty just to be safe. Just seeing what's out there right now.

I have an 09 z71 and absolutely love it!! It has been perfectly reliable to 100k so far with just the water pump and lifters needing to be replace, both under warrantee. My understanding is that if it is needed it will happen well before the factory warrantee expires. So if the engine sounds good now at 60-70 k you are in the clear. I have been getting great gas mileage on the highway around 20mpg and 16-17 mixed with the cylinder deactivation.

I have never loved a car as much as I do this one. My last car was a jeep grand Cherokee . I drove it to 220k when then 4.0 gave up the ghost. There is no comparison.

Well i had an 03 Tahoe before this wrangler and only reason i sold it was I didn't want to spend thousands of bucks chasing a trans/transfer case no one could fix. At the time i couldn't find another Tahoe I liked in my price range. The wife liKed it and as a Ford guy i really liked it. The lifter problems I've been hearing about do worry me though.
