Just purchased a used 2021 Yukon Denali and on it's 1st trip to the auto-shop the RH (Passenger) Mirror was loose on pickup.
Still worked but would wiggle up/down about 1". I suspect the shop did it somehow but maybe it was that way when I took it in?? The shop are nice folks and it just isn't clear. They couldn't order a replacement short of 6-12months and it was $1000 so I bought a replacement from ebay ($347) - https://www.ebay.com/itm/195341994571 - and the shop installed it for $117.
Here's what we found on the cracked one.....

The shop was able to replace the Chrome Mirror Cap (from one I bought on ebay) with the original Black Cap so it's looking original. No software programming needed - just plug/play and all works (cameras, auto-fold, view detection) correctly.
Finally - focusing on this issue I noticed the LF (Drivers) mirror is not attached to the door correctly.
Look at this gap....

when it should be flush to the door like the RH mirror just replaced....

Crazy the details you don't see when you purchase a used vehicle until you really focus and it makes me want to dig-in and fix... but sometimes it's best to leave well enough alone
Has anyone else had mirror issues? This was a Hertz rental, so maybe someone really did a number on the mirrors at some point?
