I'm not to sure how to explain this, but i'm missing the piece on the rear bumper of a 2007 Yukon SLT that covers the "2X2" area where you can raise/lower your spare tire. I called a GMC dealer ship around my area and I'm not sure we were on the same page, but they wanted $80 for the small plastic piece. It doesn't come painted and would need to be painted so thats why its expensive. If you know what this piece is called or have any ideas of where to find it, I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

Nate,
I had to do a little digging, but I think I may have found a little information to get you started. I believe that particular part is called an Access Cover (I am referring to location #9 in the first picture). I looked on GM Parts Direct and it appears to be a $6.00 part. Of course that is before shipping, and it will not be painted. Unfortunately, I was not able to locate you a part number. However, I will post a couple of pictures to help you with your quest :)

You could probably print these and take them to your dealer. If they can't help you, then ordering from GMPD always works as a last resort. Of course, you will still have to get it painted to match...

I hope that helps!! Good luck!

I am not sure why that last picture is so small, but here is basically what it says -

Access cover - Tahoe w/o ltz Yukon w/o denali - Tahoe w/o ltz Yukon w/o denali
07-11
MSRP Price: $9.78 Your Price: $6.00

I can walk you through how to find this part on that particular site if you need me too. It's not hard, but you just have to click on a few buttons to find that particular part.

Thanks Dylan, much appreciated. I'll take a look at it and probably get it purchased soon. Do you have any suggestions on where to get it painted? I know the dealership will charge all they can for a little 2X2 piece.

Well, if you have a body repair shop around, they should be able to do it. Sometimes, "small town" mechanics also do some body work that could be done for a fair price.

Around my area, we have several local body shops, and mechanics that do work when I need it done (including paint). They tend to charge fair prices, and give good deals for repeat costumers. :)

It really all depends on what you have in your area. It also pays to know someone :hands:

Really?

Its obvious that David Kiley is insecure about what he has between his legs to be so concerned about why people need to drive big trucks! I have 5 kids idiot, and the Yukon xl works for me and my family.

I have irrational and selfish insecurities about riding around in anything smaller than a tank. :happy175:
