don't they make longer studs that you could swap?

Also make a skid plate for the PPV that you might be able to get from salvage PPV.

My bumper project is still in progress but this is how it looks with the CST skidplate:

Looks like the CBP version is reinforced with rails on each side...

But the thing is real prerunners are full tube chassis not frames like stock trucks and suv's have. I hope they don't romp on their Tahoe's out in the desert on the stock frame because its not designed to take that kind of abuse.

Im ordering the kit from CCM... the 2.5inch front and 1inch rear. Seems to be pretty popular.

Also looking at water jetting some wheel spacers. Like only 1/4 inch. But will see...

They definately romp on the Tahoes, here's some pics of what we find on the Tahoes nearly once a week, these particular pictures are from a 2013 modelimage.jpegimage.jpeg image.jpeg

before after at wheel house.JPG before after at center of bumper.JPG cut spare bumper.JPG

actually bought a used bumper that had the typical damage on the bottom from having the black piece dragged over a big curb/etc. $50

where I trimmed was 95% of the damage on the bumper, and the shop used some sort of special glue to repair the one other crack. no biggie. I started my line at the spot where there is a body line under the tow hook opening. Used tape to make a straight line, then a few sharp box cutter blades to cut. The center of the bumper didn't gain as much clearance due to the way I wanted to have the complete lic. plate opening intact. had the bumper painted at maaco.

Got it mounted up and it was a bit 'floppy', since the factory braces that tie to the frame are now gone, so I made some little brackets that attach at the bottom of the tow hook opening and tie back to the frame. The before/after pics were done prior to bigger tires/leveling.

Keeping the factory bumper intact (hanging up in the garage)
