I went with the springs and a pair of Gabriel ProGuard HD shocks ($20 each)
My truck had the ZW7 premium smooth ride, and at 150K miles it was pretty soft. rear measured 37 3/4" at wheel well. Now it is about 39 1/4". We'll see if it settles out.
I have the 2" level up front and it measures around 38-3/4" so finally it actually is level, not nose high.
