Motor mount with one bolt

Is one bolt enough?

  • Obviously not enough! What a dummy...

  • Hmm maybe...

  • Don’t be stupid, just drill out the mount flange so it lines up.

  • IDK, but please drive as is and let us know what happens.

If you have the correct mount, you have a misalignment issue probably related to trans mount failure also. There is a fair amount of wiggle room in the factory plates to get bolts started. If you can't pry/align it with a tapered punch it is wrong part or another broken mount.

Buy Hummer H3 mounts and never have to deal with it again. Plus they fit and all bolts can be used. You’re asking for trouble with only one bolt. There’s a reason three are used. That’s like driving with 2 lug nuts on your wheels.
