What is max mounting depth for the door speakers. I guess I need to go by the top mounting depth. I am looking to replace my stockers with something to sound as good as my stockers did. Any suggestions would be great on brand wise would be great as well. Thanks. I am running stock head unit but will be replaced by a pioneer or alpine unit.

There is not a whole lot of room especially for the rear doors. Just went throught this a couple of months ago. I used polk Db 651 s speakers in all 4 doors. they take arround 60 watt rms. Stock amp or eve some after market head units will have trouble getting these enough power put anything that is correctly rated at around 50 watt rms per channle should make them sound good. As for deapths go to crutchfield or sonic electronics and they have fitment guids. Sonic has better prices than cruthfieild but crutchfield usually gives you the install parts like adapters and harness adapters included in the speaker price.

Six's in the rear are find with a little elbow grease. i suggest using a mdf speaker ring to mount it a bit off the door and give yourself some more room.

I also have replaced al speakers in my 99 hoe recently. The depth is not something we can tell you because if the magnet is wide it will not fit in rear doors even if not very deep. The rear doors seem to have a slightly large diameter to fit a 6.5'' so i made rings from heavy sheet metal. Then when i went to put on the cover the tweeter stuck out too far so i cut a whole to expose the speaker then covered it with the fabric that i will be putting on door panels. Buy local so if you can't fit them you can return them. The front doors are not a problem just have some self tapping screws for mounting. i have infinity 6.5, kenwood dual mags 6.5 and pioneer 4x6'' in the rear 4x10 area because quality 4x10's are priced high. Finally please run a amp or the rear channels will distort from lack of power at high volume.

They will be a very tight fit in the rear but they will fit.
