found the earlier trucks had the TC button on the left side of the dash...

anyone know if the plug might be the same or at least modifiable? to move the TC button from the square area on the right side of the dash to over there?

Search the threads. Someone installed a similar backup camera in the cubby, and just moved the tc button to the glove compartment or eliminated( i dont remember).Just type in search "back up camera" and it should pop up. How often do you use the traction control, that you need it somewhere accesible?

I turn mine off just after I start it. Damn thing drives me nuts. I don't understand the big deal with the awd when it doesn't work worth a shit in the snow and ice?

I'd put the button in the glovebox or buy the old style button. Either one should just be a momentary pushbutton that tells the computer to toggle on/off.

I removed mine and just left it in the back of the dash. I installed a small monitor there. I was thinking of extending the wires and replacing it with the fog light switch. THey appear to be the same size round button. I was going to just wire up the fog lights to the headlights. I have never seen that TV button set up like you pictured. What year is that from?

I just shoved mine into the dash and got it out of the way completely. In the winter, I pull it out and let it dangle by the wire so I can turn it off. I hate traction control on snow and ice. I grew up driving in this stuff, and sometimes getting a little sideways is pretty damn useful if you can control it.

not sure what year the TC button is from...but i bought one on ebay for 9 bucks to try it out. if i can keep it up there accessible, that woudl be best. as stated above, there are times when a controlled spin or skid is more helpful than a retarded car bogging down and not doing anything.

i'll post up once i get all the parts gathered and do this...hopefully it will help someone else out if we can get this to work as i want it to.
