muffler question??

hey guys, this i my first post, besides my intro on the site and im looking at getting a borla muffler. just the muffler for now. im looking at the pro xs and on my 04 yukon i have a single in center with a 2.75" diameter pipe on the front and on the rear of the muffler is dual that goes into a single tailpipe. Now i dont want dual exhaust but my question is should i get a single inlet dual out and just mate it to the existing 'Y' or just cut the "Y' out and just run a single out the rear of the muffler.

Im running that exact setup right now. I did a Borla Pro XS single 3" inlet with a single 3" offset outlet. had the muffler shop cut out the old Ypipe and run a single pipe to it.

Im pretty happy with it.
