Every time I park outside and it rains heavily, my truck has a very musty odor the next time I get in. It doesn't necessarily come from the vents, just an overall odor.

Anyone else have this issue? It will air out after a couple days of driving and I won't smell it anymore.

As a side note, the air coming out of my vents doesn't smell like fresh peaches either, but this seems unrelated and is present before even starting.

I have had this issues in past vehicles and I would suggest checking all ur weather stripping as it can tend to get old and dry rotted, especially around the rear hatch, just my. 02 cents

Sounds like a sunroof (if you have one) drain is plugged and backing up into the truck (just went through this with my VW Jetta)!

Hmmm, I do have a sunroof, but nothing on the interior of the truck is wet...not even the sunroof shade you can close. That was the first thing I checked.

Well, I'd check it still, there should be drains at all 4 corners of the sunroof (just a guess, other vehicles I've owned are that way), open the sunroof and pour a little water in the tracks at each corner and make sure you are getting water pouring out of the bottom of the truck! It's good maintenance anyways!!

check cabin filter also. I know you said it's not coming from the vents, but never hurts to change them out and spray some Lysol or other antibacterial spray to disenfect the inside of the tray to kill any hidden spores or possible fungi that may have started living there. LOL, crazy what can get inside those filters. I found leaves inside mine the first time I changed them out. May not be the source of your smell but will help with vents anyways.

I don't think I have cabin filters on my '05 do I? The air from my vents smells a bit funky also. Is there a way to freshen that up without having the cabin filters? On my old '01, I would spray some lysol on the filters and/or get the charcoal ones.

I will check the sunroof drains. I've driven through some pouring rain and never noticed a drop of water on the interior of my truck. It would be hard to believe that water is getting in somehow with it sitting in the driveway.

I believe there is a way to 'clean' out your ventilation system. Dealerships do it. I think the stuff comes in a can like the AC recharges, you hook it up to a similar service port, and let it rip.
