they don't have to be tahoe mirrors to be plug and play.

tahoe, yukon, escalade, denali, silverado, sierra, avalanche. they ALL use the same wiring.

Thank you for clarifying that! For some reason I thought the Escalade ones were different, or at least not quite as easy of a swap :Stupid Me:

However, I am pretty sure that if you could not find body color Escalade ones, you would have to have them painted to match? Those mirrors are actually painted, and not just painted caps correct?

Yup. I have Escalade mirrors but my master switch worked fine because my Tahoe LTZ came with all the mirror options already so it was a direct swap of only the mirrors.

That is good to know!

I have a summit white Tahoe and they don't make esky's that color so I had to get them professionally painted. I love how the window side of the mirror is painted gloss black versus the unpainted black on Yukon/tahoes.

My 2014 Suburban 1500 LT mirrors are power, heated, manual folding, but no puddle lights or directionals. Does anyone know if the wire connector is plug-in ready for light and directional?

When doing this conversion, you are going to need to buy both a used master and passenger switch. If buy only the drivers side, the passenger side will not fold without programming. Buying both used would be alot cheaper than going to the dealer for programming! Just my 2 cents.

Thanks, Keanen.

I just swapped in a Homelink from an '05 Sierra/Silverado into the roof console because the burb didn't come with one. Had to determine terminal feeds for switched ignition and accessory light, and splice to ground, but the harness feed for Homelink was there … real PIA.

About the mirrors and switches ... the power folding mirrors (w/directionals, heaters and puddle lights), would be a bolt on and the new terminals will fit the existing harness connectors … I wouldn't have to mess with adding terminals to the harness like I had to with the Homelink?

No wiring is needed. The mirrors are plug and play with the new switches.

Will I have to get directional and puddle light harnesses do you know, or are they plug and play too?

The reason I'm asking … some sites say DL3 mirrors puddle lights and directionals might not work on 2014.

Also local dealer says no BCM flash if RPO isn't listed in VIN, so I have to find both switches from the same donor vehicle.

exactly like tedv said I want to update my mirrors to have puddle lights and directionals. don't really care for the auto fold to be honest. if I do get the dl3s will the directionals and puddle lights work? or do they make a mirror with just the puddle and directional. I have a 2014 Tahoe. just gathering info for a future mod.

Thanks,
Andy

The mirrors will come with come with a wiring harness with 2 plugs vs. 1 like one the basic mirrors. The new master switch will have a the required terminal to connect the 2nd plug to supply power to the power folding and signal indicators. Without replacing the passenger's switch everything will work except the passenger mirror power folding feature. If you're just looking for the signal, you are good! If you want both mirrors power folding to work, you will have to have the passenger switch programmed or buy a used switch from a truck that had the power folding mirrors. Hope this anwers your questions.

I've stalked ebay for DL3 switches for 3 months now and nobody is selling passenger switches with a driver side switch from salvaged.

You would think with so much interest in swapping out for the DL3 option, that GM would be a bit more liberal about BCM flashing or selling the power fold switches with flashed modules. From what I hear about late model Mustang hot roders, Ford has no qualms about flashing their computers for Ford to Ford option swaps.
