Just when I think I'm nearing the finish line, the Hoe starts being a real ***** again! I finished installing the Escalade rear door panels and hooking up the front speakers, it was sooooo much fun pulling wire through the door grommets again lol:pp:

After that I decided to hit the car wash to get her all cleaned up...this is where Satan takes over and possesses her! I pull out of the car wash and notice water dripping on the inside of the truck right by the fuse panel on the drivers side(not good)...on my way home I noticed both blinkers weren't working so I pull over and check the fuses under the hood.

The cover was a lot hotter than I have felt before and the left turn signal fuse 10amp was actually broken in half!?!? WTF lol. I replace the fuse and decide to go home to take a better look, on my way home there are no blinkers BUT every time I hit the brakes the left turn signal turns on and the front passenger side parking light turns on :shakehead:

Anyone have any idea where I should even begin taking things back apart? FML:(

Did you mess with any grounds or hot leads in the harness ?

Nope, I'm hoping something just got wet and needs to dry off and hopefully everything goes back to normal??? The rain isn't helping

Theres nothing worse than troubleshooting an electrical problem on this truck...the po really butchered all the wiring! :(

I would start back tracing turn signal wires, brakes, and headlights. I know when I had a light short/ground on my front turn signal my lights were acting all possessed like what you explained too.
Any water get into the housings? Sockets?

I'm thinking the high pressure water jets definitely got into something at the car wash or the geniuses that work there might have broken the brake light switch wiring with one of their feet while cleaning

I pretty much tore the entire front end of the truck off along with a majority of the front dash board to see if anything came apart...everything looked good so I removed every single fuse under the hood and inside the truck to see if anything blew...nothing

Back to my theory that the car wash guys may have damaged the brake light switch wiring while cleaning...I noticed as soon as I disconnected the plug from the switch not only did I have no break lights but all the parking lights, mirror lights, and blinkers stopped turning on while pressing the brake pedal

This is where I cursed GM for a good 2 hours!:fca5278d::fca5278d::fca5278d::mad3::mad3::mad3:... I'm 6'3 265 lbs and couldn't for the life of me get myself into that small ass area under the steering wheel to disconnect the brake light switch which is attached to the brake pedal...I had my neighbors kid get in their to try and get it out but he kinda broke it removing it

We were able to remove the brake light switch from the Escalade since theirs no interior but it didn't seem to fix the problem...not sure if they're different from the Tahoes???

I also swapped the turn signal relay as well which didn't change a thing

I finally picked up a new iphone after 5 years so pics should be a lot clearer from now on lol

Stop being so tall lol. I'm 6' so I'm right at the edge of being a complete PITA to get under the dash.
Had to have been the dipshits at the wash, they worked on the way there right :mad3:

I know when I go through a touchless wash I get water all over the battery and some on the fuse box. Almost like I'm missing a piece that covers up a hole but everything is there , but never had any fused blown.
But 9 out of 10 time's I hand wash at home so it doesn't see a car wash too much in its life. Winter time I for the most part I leave it dirty, pointless to wash:nono:
