My daughter had my Tahoe and she left it at a so called friends house as she went out for her birthday. Well they tore up the column, took it apart and took the ignition key control module (after busting the cylinder), damaged all 3 door locks. The inner door panel was bent on the drivers side. They stole the Hi-Lift Jack that was mounted on the Yakima Megawarrior (They bent just about every bar on it, I will try to straiten it and reuse it). They stole the wheel lock key and the spline key too. So have to play and try to get the locks off to check out the rear end which is clunking like some of the teeth are broken on the ring/pinion. They broke the bowtie on the nose of the truck even. Both Alpine amps are gone along with the Bazooka Tube. So I will be having a few trips to the Wrecking Yard to try and find parts to repair. Until then does anyone have a extra ignition cylinder and door lock cylinders (with or without keys) they can part with so I can try and secure her until it cools of here in AZ (108deg at the yards isn't fun)?

Sorry, Had to vent!

Damn thats some ********. Stealing out of a car is one thing but just breaking shit for no reason is so much worse. I got a stereo stolen about 10 years ago and i remember how thankful i was that they did a clean job, didnt break anything, not a single clip or dash piece. Even unscrewed the wires to the amp. A respectable thievery

MAN!! I don't think anyone likes thievery, but it just pisses me off. I pray to GOD that nothing likes this happens to me. I don't know what I'd do to them if I ever caught them. I really hope you get it sorted out, and why the hell break your bowtie??

I've never heard that expression before, "A respectful thievery", but I TOTALLY get what you're saying. Could've been so much worse. I've lost a few radios in my day.

It was a really clean job lol. stealing for profit as bad as it is at least has a understandable motive. Whats the motive behind bashing the poor guys roof rack or breaking the bowtie. Just pure jackassery or perhapse there was a more personal motive behind the deed

Who knows... I wasn't there. I just get to try an clean-up the mess. I've had a few stereo and audio equipment stolen, sometimes it's clean and other times they just break thing that are in their way.

The rack was they wanted the Hi-lift Jack that was on it... If I would have caught them, the police would have had to clean things up! Can't wait till it cools off a bit here so I can start working on it.
