And one other project I did a few years ago that I am sure you guys will enjoy.

These where the stock wheels off the 40th anniversary grand prix we had, the chime was peeling in the bead and they leaked and just sucked, so I decided I would do something good with at least one. ( Any hopefully piss off some purists just because )

Started cleaning one to be sure it was going to turn out how I wanted.

Now some other work

received_582933153157135.jpeg

Yep, scuff and clear the cams

received_1085903315576420.jpeg

I cheated and painted a full rotor, then actually turned it on a brake lathe, then cleared

And because we needed to be sure we got the right size top, I took a wheel to town with me!

Turned out pretty damn decent I think. I try to remember and take it to shows and thins with me. And the bearing still turns so the whole wheel still spins.

We welded cam bolts to the bearing so I bolted the hub/rotor to the wheel, and I just spin off the legs for transport. Downfall is that little guy is quite heavy.

And the firebird. This was mostly spare parts for the widebody car. But is honestly not terrible for what it is. Most everything but the drivetrain is there. But someone had at set it up for drag racing with the ladder bars.

Still lots of good parts there. The bulge hood is worth some $$$. Seems like you have alot of moisture in your area. Mold and moss on it. The steering wheel looks to be from a 91/92.

We are in Michigan. It has been sitting for several years now. As far as parts I believe most are there enough to get a driveline and make driveable ( or make a race car ect). I believe the title said 90.

The Camaro is a 91 and actually with air in the tires and a battery it would go down the road. It just needs little things like ball joints, tie rods , brakes ect after sitting.this long.

After looking at the pics again, it is the spare Camaro covered in stuff. It has been sitting directly under a large tree for better than a decade now. Will see if I can grab a couple fresh pics while out today.

and i snagged some pellets for the pellet gun ( and wouldnt it figure one is .22 and the other is the common .177 so i may need to get some of those also. we shot the one gun we could ( the break barrel) and it did very well even with just iorns. i was half assing at a say 6''x6'' spot from about 25-30 yards and was making contact. on the downfall it sounds like the gun may be going back to my sister in law, but i am on the hunt... for something to replace it with that wont go away ( is one of those easier to just get something different then listen to needless complaining) but either way we will be getting something as even tho we just shot a little it was way fun and a cheap way to plink,

also got my new battery tender in, so i will see if it will charge the battery i know is dead in the other car. get that fired up so it can be parked in the barn for the winter and we park whatever we are currently driving in the garage so we dont have to brush as much snow and ice in the winter. ( i keep the car and the bikes in there over the summer so the bikes dont just sit out in the sun and rain and so i dont have to fight with dew on the seat in the morning for work.

as for the stuff on the outside of the spare camaro , this big old tree is the reason for that. it has been sitting there for probably 10 years or so now.

also got busy and got all the tires swapped over on all the trucks. ( and ironically it did snow lightly the next day!!!!! thanks michigan!

from stock 245/75/16 to 265/70/17 on dodge wheels

inCollage_20211102_093109710.jpg

and from 265/70/17 on the stock avy wheels to 235/85/16 on the stock hoe wheels aside from the extra spare wheel. ( the original got busted with that tire in that spot, i grabbed another from the junk yard so it was a set, then the outer lip of the bead broke last winter (back a couple pages) so it went on a spare wheel i had ( ironically the spare in the back is another of the same wheel)).

from the 285/70/17 on the stock denali wheels to some 265/75/16 on some gmc wheels i had originally bought for the avalanche and have had on most of our trucks at one point or another.

inCollage_20211102_093013057.jpg

after i got the snow tires on , i got on some pretty hard pack gravel and was suprised that it spun the fronts more than the rears the first time, and churned 3 of the 4 the other two times.

IMG_20211101_163038889.jpg

on an odd note i did find that the tires that came off the denali wore the fronts more than the rear, i found that odd being awd. so not sure on that one.
