Hi all

I have had a variety of GM Suburbans and such and have a new toy.

One owner, clean carfax, just turned 100k. Needs a variety of things but overall in good shape.

Older Polish man owned it and let some things slide as it has sat for last 5 years will little use.

Interior is perfect except for drivers lower seat - need a good source for that - have seen on ebay

Getting a wheel sensor message and check airbag message.

The wheels are nice but starting to oxidize or something..looks like crystals sort of.

Needs shocks, was going to go with Bilteins

Also alternator is whining so I suppose I should just replace it?

Only two rows of seating which works fine for me. I thought they were all three.

Anyway, looking forward to wasting money on a depreciating asset again!! Fun fun!!

Patrick

Nice. I got my new leather seat cover from an upholstery shop in Florida that advertises on eBay. It was very high quality. They have arm rest covers as well. Had a local shop install it and build back up the seat foam next to the door.

The tire pressure sensors in the wheels have batteries that will go dead after years. Firestone charged me $125 for one. I found them on eBay & Amazon for 1/3 of that. It looks like your PS front tire is pretty low and the PS rear tire could stand a few more psi. Add air before buying new sensors.

The wheels should clean up ok.

the check air bag light would cause me some concern
even though the carfax was clean theres a possibility it was in some sort of front end collision with either something or someone and the police were never notified

good looking ride man, any plans for future mods?
Well after the fixes that are needed I think I will do a gauge swap with the Excalade Platinum cluster look and add third row seating. Found the vid on that, pretty easy

i just bought my 05 tahoe with almost the same issues lol, TPMS message and air bag light on....i had the sensors replaced when i put new tires on, i went with the AC delcos from rock auto (part #15114379) and they work great, you can buy some ebay knock offs for a few bucks less but one fails you have to dismount the tire and there goes the savings, also the air bag light issue was resolved by replacing the front impact sensor that is located right under the bumper. Super easy to replace cause its held in by one bolt, there are 2 so its a crap shoot to figure out which one it is, but you could have it scanned or buy a sensor and try one side and see if the error goes away, if not swap side. Just remember to disconnect the battery for about 15 mins prior, you dont wnat the air bag deploying or your $100 fix could turn into a $1000 one pretty quickly
