Turned my '07 XL on yesterday and suddenly the DIC cluster no longer lights up. Checked fuse, its fine. How much is this gonna cost me??

Considering contacting a certified technician for an inspection. They will be able to offer a more accurate estimate after doing so. Cost can vary based on the resolution, parts needed, dealer, location, etc.

I have pointed that out in the past as well and NEVER received any info back. I am wondering if this is just GM's way to make more money by "suggesting" going to a dealership.

I was going as far as to ask other members to support me with banning GM CUSTOMER SERVICE off this site, but never got any feedback or support here either.

I 100% agree with you YATES, these GM Service guys are a joke as they do only promote to have GM make more money, but they NEVER contribute with a sollution for a possible fix.

LET'S GET TOGETHER AND COLLECT SOME MEMBER INPUT/signatures TO GET RID OF THESE GUYS!!!!!

I think they could be a very good asset to the site but seriously I think it is the same exact reply every time.

Well you guys do know the GM Customer service reps are simply regular people right?
They have little to no qualification/ability in diagnosing/fixing much of anything and they are far from auto technicians.
At least they try haha.

I do understand that but as regular people I think that they know that we know that dealerships exist and that at dealerships there is service departments. Ya know I'm sayin'?

I am so sick of GM customer service. They are constantly lurking on another forum that I visit that shall remain nameless (related to the make of my truck). Constantly coming on there with "I'm so sorry to hear about your troubles, maybe you should consider taking it to a dealer to have it looked into further. Send me your VIN and I will open up a case".
Ya, whatever. I have send *** to them and had them look into stuff...they don't do anything and whenver it is a thread about piston slap they are magically absent.
They aren't here as much as 'that other forum'. Maybe it's because you guys don't put up with their BS.
Over on the other forum I get flamed huge whenever I say anything about them. I think the members over there are all GM employees. They give me a hard time for anything I say negative about the brand.
I mean really, we all know the dealer is there...we're on here to see if we can get things done without getting ***** by the dealer.
