Hi everyone,

Here is my story with my new yukon denaliy 2022 I bought the car last december 2022:

First day in the showroom to receive my car at the showroom it was not start ! Its completly shock to me and the jumb start the car and working fine but I refuse to take the car until full check again. Second the told the battey was dead and they replace the battery and they said its happening sometime. After a month i am not using the car everyday but i was turn on the car through the remote start for 10 min and auto turn off, usually i do this 2 time per week without moving the car after that again same probleme happing the car not start I jumb start the car but shows light engine is on. I took the car second day to delearshop and they check the car for 2 day and change the battery and said not use the remote start until we got a fix from GM. I was travel for a week and just now at this a moment i came back and the car not start ! Only one week I left the car and I jumb start the car its working but the engine light is on and the heade up display is not working !

So 2moro I will take my car again to the dealership and they will change i think for the third time the battey !

I dont have any idea to say to delearship but i am not happy with the car and i want full refund.

Regards,

I agree with your frustration. Something like a module or computer isn't going to sleep properly is my guess. Keep records and look up lemon laws for your state if you are that disappointed........which would be me as well

Greetings Yusuf,

You are doing more harm than good by remote starting the car for 10 minutes at a time. If you don't drive it much, put the battery on a tender to keep it charged up.

Multiple short trips and sitting for days at a time does not allow the battery to become recharged properly. These vehicle's computer systems wake up and runs tests and go back to sleep all the time.

100% correct by him starting the vehicle with remote starting for 10min at a time the battery will not charge he is killing the battery everytime he starts and not driving it. Yusuf you need to buy a Battery maintainer for AGM battery's there is a difference between the old style chargers and one for the AGM battery. With these new vehicles computers, the battery is always working for the reasons said above.

I agree with above, don't start it and let it run for 10 min. It could take up to 30 miles or 15 min of city driving to replace the juice used to start it.

I put one of these on my cousins Jeep Cherokee. Takes 5 min to hook up. She drives about 3,000 miles a year and it sits for weeks and goes dead. She's a snow bird, winters in FL and summers in Upper Michigan.

A new yukon should last 30 days if it's left alone (locked, no keys in it). if you start it a few times a week for 10min a crack you'll drain the battery. If you are in and out of the vehicle you will also drain the battery.

For you,
Have the battery load tested and don't remote start the vehicle if you aren't going to use it.

Note, battery in the 21+ is an AGM, and you should get a tender or charger which can handle the slightly different charging profile and float voltage of an AGM battery to maximize it's life.

The de facto standard charger for most OEMs is the CTEK brand. I’ve had them for years, they work impeccably on AGM’s.
I’ll leave them on for months at a time. Battery is always in perfect and peak condition.
