Hey everyone ! I have a 2003 yukon slt ! Looking to turn it into a trail rig.
First question , and I'm sure it's been answered but I want my own thread with my own questions and answers .
But right now I'm at stock ride hight. Looking to do a leveling kit in the front . But I want to get 31" pro comp xtreme mud terrain 2 . I have 15x8 pro comp wheels. Now with the leveling kit will this wheel and tire set up work with no rubbing issues ?

265/75 is around the same size as a 31-32. Besides the side lugs and whatever width your running on the tires plus the specific rim dimensions also play a part. Generally speaking you shouldn't have an issue unless the you max out the safe tire width with those rims.

If I may , heres my advice. before you spend the money on just a leveling kit I would advise to go ahead and get a actual lift kit. Ive seen to many times people buy just keys or leveling kit and turn around and go higher within a few months. Once you lift it you will want to go higher.

Yeah a full on lift kit would probably be smarter . I do want to get better shocks ,so yeah a lift would be the smartest rout .
So If I go that rout might go with some 33"s :)

You can run 285's (if those are 16" wheels?) without having to do anything other than turning your stock torsion bars up a couple of turns. I'd think you could clear easily by taking it up about 1", providing your offset on the wheels is correct.

I turned mine up about 1 1/2", but I had to take about 1/2" off the lower plastic valance, and remove the running boards. But, my offset on my 16x8 wheels is +6mm, while stock backspacing would be -25mm. Mine stick out 1 1/4" further than stock.

You'll definitely have the "stuffed" look, which is fine for the street. I can do old logging roads, but tight trails make me rub in the wheelwell. A 4" lift would alleviate that, but then the 33's would look small, so I would want 35's.... so then a 6" lift doesn't cost any more than a 4" lift, and it would clear 35's....

Correction. Yes my wheels are 16x8
I might just go with a 3 inch lift kit. I need new shocks and other suspension parts anyways. But I agree I don't what a lot of wheel well space . Also don't want a stupid crazy tall vehicle
I wouldn't mind being able to get 33"s on. I like the bubbly tire look. Kind of like the Arctic trucks !
